It’s picture day! A few construction pictures shared below. Click on the thumbnails for the full gallery.
Prepping the supply air ducts for the range. This picture is above and slightly forward of the firing line. The main supply trunk will deliver air to the rear of the range through these 16 smaller ducts that run between the joists above the firing line. The wall visible on the left will be the back wall of the locker room.
Same view after some of the ducts have been connected to the supply trunk.
Installing the metal sheets on the range walls to prevent splatter and errant shots from marring the wall. These sheets are mostly cosmetic… the concrete behind the plywood is what would actually stop a bullet if someone were to take a direct shot at the wall, but these metal plates will keep things looking new and clean.
The finished metal sheets. The exposed wood area will be covered by the backstop.
Scott using a plasma cutter (approximately 25,000 degrees C) to cut a baffle plate.
Installing the baffle right above the backstop and the legs that will support the backstop. It’s starting to look like a range!
