Footings and FFLs

Lots of heavy work this week. We got everything we needed from the structural engineer. The big question was how to support new walls and the new second floor as it became clear that the building was built on pilings instead of full footings. It was determined that we needed to dig new footings in several areas. This normally wouldn’t be that bad of a task, but given the non-tropical weather we’ve had for the past two months, the guys were jackhammering frozen dirt more than three feet down in the ground! Next week, we’ll have the remaining footings dug and poured and we’ll see things take shape quickly.

In other news, we now have our completed and approved FFL in-hand! This is very exciting news as we gear up to offer some great services to our members. Stay tuned for more info.
