Hi Everyone! As your schedule is filling up for another busy holiday season we wanted to let you know that we’ll be hosting another Basic Wound Management class on December 13th!
Whether you carry every day or only get down to the range for occasional target practice this 2 hour class is one of the most important trainings you will ever take.
Led by Bill Carlo, Massachusetts EMT and Iraq War Veteran, this course is designed to teach you the basic skills to treat penetrating wounds until emergency services arrive. The proper application of these skills can be the difference between life and death, which is why we strongly recommend this class to everyone. Through video instruction and hands on training you’ll learn about:
- Contacting and relaying vital information to 911 dispatchers
- Protection against infectious disease
- Controlling Blood Loss
- Pressure Dressings
- Appropriate use of Tourniquets
- Hemostatic Agents / Quick Clot
- Chest Seals
These skills not only increase your confidence in the range but prepare you to deal with emergency first aid in everyday situations.
